Like Burgundy, Bordeaux has a long and famous history of quality winemaking. Similarly, demand outstrips supply and top chateaux command very high prices for their wines. Good value wines from small growers are harder to find, particularly in the better known areas such as Medoc and St Emilion. Lesser known areas like Graves and the Cotes de Bourg are better hunting grounds. Our Chateau Martinat and Chateau Beauregard Ducasse wines are good examples of good value, award winning clarets.
