Champagne is a huge wine region with over 14,000 growers in 300+ villages. 5,000 of these make champagne under their own label. Finding the best of these small family producers is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I have visited dozens of small producers over the years and settled on two or three personal favourites.
We have also sourced a small range of excellent value sparkling wines from Burgundy and Italy for you. |

Conegliano e Valdobbiadene is from the
2011 vintage. It is soft, scented and
grapey, with delicious lightness and a
long lasting `mousse`.

Estates in East Sussex for a while now
and are really impressed with their
quality and taste. Hand picked
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are
bottle fermented in the same way as
champagne. This sparkling wine has
undergone 12 months of lees ageing
before disgorging.

HOUSE CHAMPAGNE
I was tipped off about this grower by
Brendan, my local man on the ground.
This is a delightful blend of Pinot
Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay from
the Aube valley. Lovely white flowers
and citrus notes on the nose, elegant
and moreish on the palate with a good
length. A dry champagne to drink all
day and all night!
